Because of its community focus, Frederick County Public Libraries provides free access to materials that Hood's library, with its research focus, doesn't have. You can find lots of contemporary fiction, for example, as well as access to audiobooks, ebooks, magazines, digital newspapers, movies, genealogical research, and more.
All students at Hood are eligible for a library card at the Frederick County Public Libraries. To get immediate access to digital materials, follow the directions in the video below. You can also get a card by visiting the local library in person; the C. Burr Artz Public Library, located in downtown Frederick, is a pleasant 1-mile walk away from Hood's campus. The library also validates parking in the adjacent garage.
