Style guidelines for creating and publishing guides

Publishing Checklist

Checklist: Before publishing your guide, please review the following checklist and ensure that the criteria has been met.
This guide has been checked so that:
Fonts, colors, and styles are standard (Arial, 14 point, black). Set to "default" rather than manually change font.
The guide uses side-nav layout (unless it's a page for the website).
Every page has a friendly URL.
Guides are indexed with a type: Subject, Course, Topic, General Interest, or Internal.
Guides are tagged with at least one subject.
  Boxes are ordered by importance.
Links function properly and open in a new tab.
Welcome images are a standard size of 300 vertical.
The first page of subject guides includes the profile page of the subject librarian. Other guides include the generic Reference profile.
Images that convey information include alt text descriptions of the image's content or function. Decorative images do not include alt text.
Link text describes the destination of the link and does not use a generic description (e.g., "click here" or "read more").
All audio content includes a transcript. Videos are captioned.
Contextual images (database demonstrations, charts, screenshots, etc.) are described audibly in videos.
