The library is interested in books and publications that match or fall under the disciplines, professions, or subjects taught at Hood College, in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Popular fiction is also collected for our leisure reading section, and juvenile books are collected for our juvenile collection used by our education students. Of particular interest are books by scholarly authors, especially those by authors from diverse backgrounds.
The archive is interested in books and materials about state and local history, especially related to Frederick County history.
