Hood was able to digitize several microfilm collections of student publications through the generosity of a grant from the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area, a certified heritage area of the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority. The collections are held on MD-SOAR, a shared digital repository for twelve Maryland colleges and universities. The collections are not complete, but they are comprehensive; work continues to add digitized material.
Hood College has an institutional collection of photographs on JSTOR, available to the campus community. To view the collection, you must be signed into your Hood account first.
Hood College Digitized Photograph Collection

MD-SOAR is also the repository for our digitized student works.
The archives is currently building an online catalog on CatalogIt. Currently there are two collections: Art, Collections Prior to 2014.
Hood Art - this collection grew out of a need to document art in the archives and the library. It is not representative of all art on campus.
Collections Prior to 2014 - these collections were stored in and acquired by the archive before an archivist was hired at the school. Many of them were in place for decades in the library. Some collections are from campus offices, some are "created" collections, and many were donated.
