NOTICE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in the United States, Food Pantries and organizations providing Prepared Meals have switched their operation to provide to-go supplies and/or meals, to comply with social distancing measures. Please check with each entity to find out what their new protocol is before visiting and/or if they are still serving the community at this time. 

Residents of Jefferson County in West Virginia may receive Food Resources  as well as other services from the following agencies:

Nutrition Meal Sites

Senior Citizens of Jefferson County can receive meals from the following locations:

All activities and nutrition occur Monday through Friday

Breakfast served 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Lunch served 12:00 P.M.

Charles Towers

Nutrition is held Monday through Friday

Lunch served at 12:00 P.M.

Blue Ridge Mountain Volunteer Department

181 Keyes Ferry Road

Harpers Ferry, WV 25425

Nutrition occurs on Tuesday and Thursday

Lunch served at 12:00 P.M.

Special Notes:

  •  Due to COVID-19: Nutrition Meal Sites will not be operating in-person meal services however meals will be available for pickup from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on regularly scheduled days.
  • Clients who are unable to pick up meals from Nutrition Meal Sites are eligible to receive Temporary Home Delivered Meals during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Home-Delivered Meals

Meals may delivered to senior citizens of Jefferson County who:

are Homebound - Persons who cannot leave their homes under normal circumstances due to illness, including terminal illness, incapacitating disability isolation, and/or lack of transportation and would not be able to attend Nutrition Meal Programs in person.

-OR-

are Living Alone and are physically and/or mentally unable to obtain and/or prepare food, and there is no one else available to to obtain food and/or prepare meals. The spouse (regardless of age) of an eligible service recipient is also eligible to receive Home-Delivered Meals.

A disabled individual, regardless of age, who resides at the home of an eligible recipient, is also eligible for Home-Delivered Meals.

Charles Town, Ranson, Middleway, Summit Point, Tuscawilla, and Harpers Ferry/Bolivar.

Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Last Saturday of each Month: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Coverage Area:

Serves residents of Jefferson County.

Special Notes:

  • You must provide proof of residence within Jefferson County. Bring a License or I.D. with you.
  • Due to COVID-19 clients are asked to remain outside the building after they sign-in to wait until called.

Maximum number of visits per week/month:

3 visits per 6-month period with a minimum of 30 days between each request.
