Creating a Research Poster

Image Dimensions

Keep in mind that printed images on your research poster will be larger than they appear on your screen. As your image gets bigger, the resolution of that image decreases. Even if an image looks good online or on your PowerPoint slide, it may appear pixelated on your printed poster. 

All images should be printed at a resolution of at least 120 pixels per inch (ppi)

Always view your poster at 100% size before sending it to print. 

Copyright & Finding Usable Images

Before you use an image you find online, you'll need to make sure it's licensed for use. You can either ask the creator for permission or find and use images that are either licensed as Creative Commons or in the public domain.
