Public Library Card Event | Thursday, September 8 | 3:30 - 6:00
Join librarians from Frederick County Public Libraries in the lobby of the library at Hood to sign up for your very own Frederick County Public Library card. We'll have pizza! FCPL offers great materials and services, and you can walk there from campus!
Voter Registration Day | Tuesday, September 20 | 1-6 PM
Election Day is Thursday, November 8--are you registered to vote? Stop by our booth in the library to register in Frederick or to learn how to check your registration in your home town.
Research Party | Tuesday, October 4 | 3-5 PM | Library Room 2028
A research and writing workshop but, like, low-key, you know? Swing by the research party to work with other students in a space where you can get help when you need it. Librarians and writing tutors will be on hand to answer questions and provide help. Plus--pizza!
Zotero Workshop | Thursday, October 6 | 6-7 PM | Library Room 2028
Zotero is an open-source citation management application that can help you keep track of sources, create citations as you write, generate a formatted bibliography in a variety of styles, and more. In this introductory workshop, we'll help you get started with Zotero.
Research Party | Wednesday, November 16 | 3-6 PM | Library Room 2028
A super chill research and writing workshop! Swing by the research party to work with other students in a space where you can get help when you need it. Librarians (until 6:00 pm) and writing tutors (until 5:00 pm) will be on hand to answer questions and provide help. Plus--pizza!
