Art Drop-In

Tuesday, February 6 | 3-5 PM | Library Lobby

Join us for a relaxing session of crafting and snacks. We will be painting wood ornaments and exploring reverse coloring. 

 

Zotero

Tuesday, February 6 | 6-7 PM | Zoom

Zotero is an open-source citation management application that can help you keep track of sources, create citations as you write, generate a formatted bibliography in a variety of styles, and more. In this introductory workshop, we'll help you get started with Zotero.

Valentine's Crafternoon

Tuesday, February 13 | 3-5 PM | Library Lobby

Drop by the library cafe to make a 'Blazer Bracelet' to give to a friend, family member, or Valentine. 

 

Public Library Card Sign-Up Event

Tuesday, February 20 | 3-6 PM | Library Lobby

The Frederick County Public Library will be on campus to help Hood community members sign up for public library cards. FCPL has a number of resources to complement our own library resources (things like streaming movies, emagazines, audiobooks, and more!) We'll have food and swag - stop by any time between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. 

 

Research Party

A research and writing workshop but, like, low-key, you know? Swing by the research party to work with other students in a space where you can get help when you need it. Librarians and writing tutors will be on hand to answer questions and provide help. Plus--pizza! 

 

Designing a Conference Poster

Learn how to create and present a poster for academic conferences. We'll talk about how to design a conference poster and share strategies for distilling your research effectively for a poster session. 

 

Book Sale Kickoff Bash

Tuesday, April 23 | 1 PM - 7 PM | Library Lobby

Cake...music...camaraderie...and BOOKS...for CHEAP! Fill out your personal library at the biannual Library Book Sale!
