Student Publishing

During the Proquest ETD submission process, you will reach a stage where you can order copies of your thesis in print.  MD-SOAR does not provide binding services. ProQuest gives you several options for hardcover and soft cover copies in different sizes, and you may choose to purchase more than one copy. This stage is optional; you are not required to purchase a copy for the library or for yourself. Some departments may require a bound copy and have formatting requirements.

However, you do not have to order through Proquest; Wert Bookbinding is a good alternative, see table and ordering steps below.

If you would like to order copies of your thesis through Wert Bookbinding it is recommended that you follow the steps below:

• Check department requirements, if any.
• Contact Wert Bookbinding and place order for desired personal and departmental copies.
• Select shipping locations: department, additional locations as needed. (Additional shipping and handling charges will apply). You also can have all copies shipped to your department and  can pick up the additional copies there.
• Pay for entire order and submit copy of the order to the department so the department can track and manage the order.

Hood's Print and Mail Services may also be an option for getting your work bound.
